Beitou, on the edge of Taipei, is where the artist grew up. Known today for its hot springs, the area has long been shaped by movement and occupation. During the Japanese colonial period, it became a leisure district for Japanese officials; decades later, American servicemen arrived during the Vietnam War. As Taipei flourished after the 1970s, the landscape changed once again.

Returning to Beitou, the artist encounters a place that feels both intimate and unfamiliar. In the rocks, the grass and the scent of sulphur, she senses the layered histories of modern East Asia. These traces remain etched into the landscape, quietly calling her back and reminding her that belonging is never fixed, but continually formed through memory and place.


這是個正進行中的攝影計畫，名為「Calling」，中譯召喚。
2016年參與了高山明在台灣國際錄像影術展「負地平線」的作品「北投異托邦」，坐著北投在空間和歷史中產生且特有的計程摩托車參訪北投七個具有特殊歷史意義之地點。移動的過程中，隨著溫泉白煙繚繞，想起一張1967在時代雜誌上美軍在北投洗溫泉的照片，因此意識到北投特有地方歷史風味，另一個程度上，也是東亞現代史的縮影，地方故事銘刻在地方紋路中，微看地景的紋路，我好像熟悉，又好像不熟悉，我好像在，又好像不在。
