Gelatin Silver Print
White is not only white and therefore we don't need to find it but find a way to feel white. The work is inspired by Kenya Hara. In his book, he described white in Japan's cultural context and he encouraged people to find the white in their cultural context. I translate this concept into a relationship when I do gelatin silver prints in the darkroom. There is no substantial white when we do printing and white is the relationship between image, light, the subject, the object, the shape, and the shadow. It is a relationship that depends on each other equally.
It is a work trying to make a self-description.
